Spirituality Has A Seat At Health’s Table

Spiritual health is the recognition that there is a huge force of truth that exists as the juice of the universe.

Some of us will call this God, Creator, Source, or Spirit.

Optimal spiritual health is when we are in our highest, authentic form, personal truth, and integrity. It is when are the best and most powerful version of ourselves, in order to serve the world.

In the Functional Medicine Model of health, Spirituality is known to hold an equal exchange between the mental and emotional dimensions. Together this triad comprises the core of human wellness.

In honor of love and truth, there is value in exploring the language, as intent often gets lost through the lens of human perspective. When our lack of knowledge leads, we often accept fear and lose truth and Spirit.

Let’s bring clarity to the words in order to dissipate fear and evidence unity.

Religions are intended to serve as a tool to our Spritual gate, but it is imperative to understand that Sprituality is NOT synonymous with religion, nor is it the worship of a deity. But spirituality is also NOT the absence or opposition of God or religion.

Spirituality is large, inclusive, and neutral, and is the sovereign, Sacred, and individual partnership with God.

Now let’s clean up our understanding of more terms…Spirit and Soul … they are not the same.

The Soul is the nebulous, often chaotic, receptive, consumptive, animating force of life.

The Soul will hold memory, sustains the heat of Spirit, responds to/absorbs sound waves, connects lives with the same form (tribal), and protects the code of the body.

The Soul is extremely nourishing like a mountain spring, as dark as the bottoms of the lake, and as vast and unpredictable as the ocean. It is our nesting response and internal winter.

The soul is a seed of potential to be witnessed, liberated, and available to create once fertilized with the light of Spirit.

Spirit is a masculine (not male) energy stream that is etheric.

It is always available for invitation as a purifying, transforming, and fertilizing force to create a divine templated creation.

Spirit is much more sovereign than the soul and will construct boundaries around it, is a focused, and organized stream of truth from an endless expanse.

Spirit is the spark that will unpack life, enters the heart as the gateway into the animal part of us, and sources inspiration.

It is active and warm, bright, celebratory, and our internal state of joy and summer.

A Soul without Spirit (Universe Juice) is directionless and so both are required to fuel, create, and express health.
