Nutrition Health Hacks

Your food supply is not what it used to be, our toxin load is incredible, and our stressors are insurmountable.
IF (a big IF) nutrients are available in your food, the ability of your body to break it apart, transport it, and use it to heal, remains a mystery.
If you choose supplements as part of nutritional therapy, it is a slow brew to help the body heal itself. It is not intended to treat a symptom, rather to resource each cell of your body to positively change your health momentum for your most vibrant health!
Not All Supplements Are Created Equal
The quality of the supplement is a huge consideration. This combined with life, life-events, genetics, gender, and age need put into the equation of supplement selection.
The integrity of the supplement company is something that trained practitioners are aware of.
We know that how the supplement was sourced and produced matters. Great quality supplements will have few fillers, no contaminants, and working nutrient combinations.
Some general guidelines for purchasing supplements are as follows:
*Synthetic or isolated forms (flip the bottle over and find the form in the ingredient list) of nutrients are typically required in higher doses and in combination with other nutrients or foods because they have been separated from compounds that help them work best. That being said, some people will require a synthetic form.
*Whole-food supplements are like concentrated food pellets. These are absorbed and used by the body better than isolates, will require a lesser dosage (due to the synergy of naturally occurring complexes), and are more complete than their isolated cousins.
Form & Function
Like all things in the body, form and function exchange information and are a large part of how or why something works.
The same principal holds true for nutrients. The shape (and what it’s connected to) of a nutrient will determine its performance.
Certain complexes or forms of the same nutrient typically work best when all are present, and we see this working matrix in whole foods.
